Module 1
Canadian Beef Advantage

Good Retail Practices
This module provides participants with essential knowledge on best practices for handling Canadian beef across various stages, including receiving, storage, cut fabrication, grinding, packaging, display, sanitation, and consumer distribution. PPE & Equipment Safety

The Supply Chain: Producing Cattle

Beef Cutting & Merchandising
Learners will get an overview of how to properly cut and merchandise the most popular Canadian beef cuts in the marketplace in module 6. The content within is designed to help ensure confident and consistent cutting and merchandising by your meat department staff.

Customer Support Resources: Canadian Beef Information Gateway
Retailers can choose to have their staff complete the CCBTP’s seventh module on customer support resources, which is about the Canadian Beef Information Gateway, also known as the Gateway.
Accessible at cdnbeef.ca, the Gateway is a digital consumer education platform featuring science-backed, easily digestible information about all things Canadian beef. Your staff can use the Gateway as a pocket- sized FAQ on Canadian beef to help them answer customers’ questions on the sales floor.
